Synopsis

Par une froide nuit d'hiver dans un couvent canadien. La jeune novice Agnès baigne dans son sang. Dans une corbeille a papier, la mère supérieure découvre un nouveau-né étranglé... Un psychiatre, le Dr Martha Livingston, persuadée de l'innocence d'Agnes, va affronter la Mère Supérieure Miriam Ruth.
