
Douglas Jackson
Biography
Douglas Jackson is a Canadian film and television director and producer. He began his career in the 1960s with the National Film Board of Canada, producing works like Bill Mason's short documentary Blake, which was nominated for an Academy Award. Jackson co-directed the CBC Television miniseries Empire, Inc. (1983) with Denys Arcand. His directorial credits include The Heatwave Lasted Four Days (1975), Whispers (1990), and The Paperboy (1994).
