Biography
Maurice Labro was a French film director and screenwriter active from the 1940s to the 1960s. He began his career as an assistant director before making his directorial debut with Le Carrefour des enfants perdus (1944). Labro directed various genres, including comedies, dramas, and thrillers. Notable works include Les Aventuriers du Mékong (1958) and Le Gorille vous salue bien (1958), featuring Lino Ventura. His films are characterized by their engaging narratives and craftsmanship, contributing to mid-20th-century French cinema.
